Pencil on Freeform on MacOS13 Ventura.

I want to use Freeform on an interactive whiteboard connected to my MacBook Pro. For that, I need the pencil function, but it doesn’t exist on the Mac version (contrary to the iPad version). What can I do?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

Thanks Phillips. It's OK if I just want to display it on the interactive whiteboard. But I want to write using the interactive board. On the interactive board, using Freeform on my Mac, I can draw shapes, insert pictures... but not handwrite with the pencil! I've been doing that with Jamboard and I was hoping to do the same with Freeform. But impossible since the handwriting or drawing pencil doesn't exist on the MacOS version of Freeform. It would be very useful to have it!

I assume your whiteboard has some kind of companion app. It won't be Freeform. That's the way these things work. That's the way these things work. They don't have to work that way. There is no technical reason for it. But the whiteboard manufacturer didn't know anything about Freeform. And Apple isn't going to open Freeform to external hardware. Even if Apple did allow external hardware, the manufacturer would be crazy to use it. Apple has a very poor track record with these kinds of system integrations - i.e. openly hostile.
