Comments in get info (command i) missing after files moved to a folder using Adobe Bridge

I had hundreds of files .png’s and .jpg’s I was pasting comments in the get info (command i) in Mac OS Ventura 13.1 When I created folders in adobe bridge 2023 in order to organize the files  it removed all my comments from the get info metadata. I have open cases with both Senior level advisor at Apple and Adobe. I recreated the test by following these steps below.

-Make 2 files  “Bridge Test 1.jpg” “Bridge Test 2.jpg”

-I paste the comments in both files

-Close the get info.

-Make 1 folder in finder

-Make Test folder in finder.  Put  “Bridge Test 1.jpg”  in finder folder

-Get info on “Bridge Test 1.jpg” comments are there (not deleted)

-Make folder in bridge. Move file “Bridge Test 2.jpg”  into folder

-Get info on “Bridge Test 2.jpg” comment are are gone!

Is there any way to recover the comments in the get info  files or are they gone forever? I was hoping it was buried in a system preferences file somewhere and maybe my work could be recovered.

Found this:

?

Sounds like an Adobe Bridge issue...

If in doubt refer to the developers website; Support/Help/FAQ/known issues/compatibility /updates/uninstall:

Thank you for your reply. In the above reply I wrote "I spent a long time speaking both with Apple and Adobe. Senior levels advisors at Apple think it is an Adobe Bridge issue. Senior level advisors at Adobe think it as Apple issue. The Senior advisor at apple is continuing to R&D the issue. The Senior level advisor finally agreed that there was some kind of communication error between Adobe Bridge and Mac OS. The Mac OS is 13.1. Adobe Bridge 2022 and 2023 (13.0.2.636) produce the same results."

My new machine exceeded my Time Machine 2TB storage drive. I have multiple backups but not time based. So time machine is not an option. Is there any way to retrieve the data possibly in some source file buried in the OS?

I saw that you have wrote about this issue before. Get Info Box - comments disappeared - Apple Community Thank you for your time.

Comments are extended attributes on the documents in which they are assigned. Using Finder to copy/move files into local drive folders will preserve the comment attribute. Using Adobe Bridge to copy/move files into a local drive folder where the comment attribute is removed would be on Adobe Bridge. Are you using the current version of Adobe Bridge that Adobe recommends for macOS Ventura 13.1?

Your only fallback is to retrieve those comment bearing files from an earlier Time Machine backup using the /Applications/Time Machine app.

Bridge 13.0.2 is now available and according to the Adobe Bridge Support Community, it has turned into a bag of hurt for others, though no current reports of stripping comments from macOS files. Presumably, you are not running a Bridge beta…
