Voicemail notifications

When someone leaves me a voicemail, a red dot appears on the main screen phone icon and when I tap it it shows “recent” but not “ voicemail”how do set phone to show red dot on “ voicemail”

How can I remove notification dot 🔴 for voicemail on my iPhone 12 Pro? I have a notification I cannot remove, in the voicemail section of the phone app, “To retrieve a voicemail, first set a password and greeting.” I have tried to set it up just so I can turn it off again, but I can’t do this either, try to create a pin and it says “Voicemail Error Try again later.” Don’t want voicemail and have no need for it, how do I remove the notification dot 🔴 [Re-Titled by Moderator]

iPhone 13 Pro not getting voicemail notifications My phone sometimes rings, but sometimes doesn't... either way, I don't get the voicemail notification. I have all the notifications turned on, but I have to click on the voicemail icon at the bottom right of the phone app screen to manually check to see if there are any voicemails. Any help?

When someone leaves you a voicemail, you get a sms from your carrier.
