How can I remove notification dot 🔴 for voicemail on my iPhone 12 Pro?

Seem I sill cannot get this on the phone to work at all, must be broken apple tech might need to fix it,

I did however find a solution, your comment sent me on the right track, this is how I fixed it,

dialed into my telcos voicemail service, 1/ turned on visual voicemail,

2/ hang up restart phone,

3/ dial back in,

4/ switch to sms notifications,

5/ hang up, dial back in,

6/ turn off voicemail,

while this worked 🥳 and I’m happy the notification 🔴 is gone,

the message “To retrieve a voicemail, first set a password and greeting.”

This still remains and dose not work at all,

just incase anyone else was having the same problem this was my fix 😁👍

Thanks for the reply but this is Not correct, I do not have voicemail at all, this is a notification to initially set up voicemail, I can’t set it up, and can’t clear the notification 🔴

I don’t want voicemail, and it is not on from my telco.

possibly a glitch 🤷‍♂️

Thanks, but when I click “Setup” I get asked to setup a pin, i enter a pin, confirm the pin, and then I get “Voicemail Error Try again later.”

this was the first thing I tried, unfortunately I’m in an infinite loop of “Try again later”

I don’t even want voicemail,

just want the badge to go away

it keep glaring at me like the eye of Sauron 🔴

Thanks, but not the fix, the memos app has never been used on this phone, I opened it, got the welcome message closed the app, Did nothing to the notification on the phone app 🔴

I even tried turning the phone off and on again with badges on/off as soon as I enabled badges it’s still there 🔴
