The Epson XP-410 is AirPrint-compatible. Add it to Printers & Scanners that way, and its scanning function should work using native macOS apps.

When adding it, you must explicitly indicate AirPrint.

It is not possible for me to confirm Epson's proprietary app will work though.

That sounds like an app, and if it does not work you need to contact its developer: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support.

Fortunately we do not need any third party apps to use a scanner, provided that scanner is AirPrint-compatible: Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support.

In addition, Epson released an updated ICA driver to scan using Image Capture sometime around Big Sur. It should also work through Ventura.

They also have updates for the Scan2 software: https://epson.com/Support/Printers/All-In-Ones/XP-Series/Epson-XP-410/s/SPT_C11CC87201
