Hi tcroadrunner,
Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.
It does appear you have seen the correct article. Once sharing is set up, it should only happen when data is updated or changed.
"If a friend or family member chooses to share their health data with you, you can also receive notifications when there are changes to their health data."
One to two days may not be unusual. If you think it should happen more often, make sure her Wi-Fi connection is strong.
Does she ever use Low Power Mode on the Apple Watch? You can read about the feature here: Use Low Power Mode on your Apple Watch.
"Low Power Mode turns off these features
- Always On display
- Heart rate notifications for irregular rhythm, high heart rate, and low heart rate
- Background heart rate measurements
- Background blood oxygen measurements
- Start workout reminder"
If you don't think Wi-Fi or Low Power Mode explains the issue, contact the Health experts at Apple Support for a deeper dive.
Have a fantastic day!
