Why has Daily Cash tracking/redemtion to Apple Card more difficult than it once was? I have no interest/need for Apple Cash card

Greetings all, before the last IOS update to 16.2 we were able to view the daily cash balance right under card details and right there we were able to redeem that amount to the Apple Card balance, but since the update to IOS 16.2 that functionality is gone and in it's place is a prompt to set up an Apple Cash card to see the daily cash balance, I have no need/interest in setting up a Apple Cash account/card I just want to have what Apple Card had all along simplicity without being sold something else, thank you all.
