iPad pro: brightness cannot be adjusted

My iPad Pro used to work fine. Yet for a couple of months the brightness cannot be adjusted anymore. - I have updated to iOs 16.2. And I have restarted the iPad many times. It did not help. Would anyone have some advice?

iPad Pro => Display & Brightness: Brightness limited due to high ambient temperature = even at low temp and NON adjustable. brightness keeps going up on Ipad pro Hi all, My Ipad pro’s (11 inch 2nd gen)(ios 16.5) brightness keeps going to 100% even when I adjust it myself it pop right up to 100% even in a complete dark environment. Auto brightness is off. Turned it off and on, rested it, updated it to IOS 16.5 but nothing has worked. Closed all the apps etc. Last thing I can think of is going to factory settings which I hope is not necessary. anyone who has a clue? much appreciated! Best regards, Timo

If a forced-restart has not cleared the problem, you might beet advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad:
