IPhone 14 ProMax with CarPlay - Faint voice during phone call

My IPhone 14 Pro Max has had issues during Phone calls while connected to CarPlay since November (when I bought it). The person I am talking to says that my voice sounds very faint and they can't hear me very well. If I speak into the phone directly, or use AirPods instead, the person I am talking says there is no problem at all.

When a different IPhone (Iphone 13, Iphone 8 or IPhone 6) connects to CarPlay in the same car, there is no problem at all with the voice volume during a phone call.

I am running IOS 16.0.2 (20A380).

I've seen another question that is very similar, but haven't seen a resolution to their issue either.

Any advice on how to fix this? Is this an issue with all IPhone 14 Pro Max's? (My previous IPhone didn't have this problem).

Those details are greatly appreciated! There is an available software update, and we always recommend keeping your software updated. Updates help by installing bug fixes and security updates. When you have a moment, back up your iPhone then update the software and apps:

Hello.

I just updated my IOS. I hadn't realized there was an update available (normally I am notified, but apparently there was an update available, and there wasn't a notification on the Iphone). Anyway, I updated it to IOS 16.2, and tried using the phone in the car with Carplay. The person I called reported no issues with volume, so it looks like the issue has been fixed.
