iPhone 14 CarPlay microphone volume too low

Apple CarPlay Microphone issues

When I have my phone connected to CarPlay via wired connection, everything works fine except the microphone. It will not hear anything I say for texts, commands, nor phone calls. I have to reach for my phone and put it on speaker. My iPhone 13 pro max is fully updated to 15.4.1 and my car is fine. My iPhone 12 Pro has improved iOS 16.0.2 and also works fine. It’s an issue e exclusive to iPhone 14. Music plays but any time I use the voice command feature or try to make calls when driving i have the same problem. Please don’t link the articles on apple none of those have worked and they are not helpful. THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE

For me it works very poorly. The other party can hear me talking, but it is incomprehensible and sounds like I’m far away. No, I don’t think the system is trying to prevent me from making phone calls while I’m driving.

I still have the same problem on my iPhone 11 promax. The mic volume is too low in CarPlay for people to hear me.

in android mode, it’s fine it’s just an CarPlay. I’m on iOS 16.1 and it has not made a difference help apple help

Same issue. It is APPLE car play. Hello apple we need a fix. I use my GPS and have to disconnect ACP to make a call. It’s terrible. Did not have issues with my 11

Same for me with iPhone 12 and Audi Q3 connected with Apple car play. My whatsapp voice messages are extremely low and others can’t hear.

Have you considered that perhaps the phone is AUTOMATICALLY disabled for outgoing calls or responses because it has geolocation of your car.? And you should not be utilizing those features while driving?
