MacBook Pro Kernel Panic Error, causes shutdown and restart

My MacBook Pro keeps crashing over and over again on its own.

Here's what I've tried so far:

  1. Hard reset, wiped all the software. Problem still persists (so it's presumably caused by hardware).
  2. Took it to Apple, they ran diagnostics. Turns out I have a bad battery. Okay, I pay $200 to fix the battery. Problem still persists.

Now here we are. What gives?

So far, my own debugging has taken me to this line of code, which is `goto exit` when the condition is met: https://github.com/apple/darwin-xnu/blob/main/iokit/Kernel/IOServicePM.cpp#L5547

Here's the stack trace:

When your MacBook keeps restarting again and again, there might be some serious issues that you need to fix immediately. To fix the issues, try the below methods:

1. Check for pending updates

2. Boot Mac in safe mode

3. Reset PRAM/NVRAM/SMC

4. Repair Mac drive using Disk utility

5. Clean your disk

6. Reinstall macOS

Hope this will help!

The watchdog timer is set by a variety of tasks to make sure that certain things don't just "wander off" and not get serviced or re-serviced in an appropriate amount of time.

if this in any way resembles the problem you had before service, contact support and ask them to help Apple "make it right" by connecting you with an appropriate specialist to identify where the problem lies and get it fixed. There is a substantial amount of hoops they will make you jump through before you get sent to a specialist, but you have done a lot of them already.

The local store wants to help you, but they do not have the depth of all of Apple Support immediately available to them. They can swap your mainboard, but then they are out of ideas.
