Unable to upload/attach files on Chrome- M2 chip

I am unable to upload/attach files in Chrome. It's not a website issue as I am able to upload via Safari. I have a 2022 Macbook Air, model A2681 (M2 chip).

I have seen that this was an issue with the M1 model, but that solution has not worked for me. I have ensured Chrome was up to date.

Unable to drag and drop files from Safari download list to other platforms For about a month ago, since then I am experiencing this issue. Once I have download a file using my safari browser, if I drag the file from the download list that appears on the right hand corner of the screen next to share, and try to drop it to any places that allow file drag and drop upload, or even to send that file via WhatsApp, the file appears to be either not accepted by the platform or some platform even says that the files is corrupted, and some even say that this format is not compatible. But the file downloads in the download folder and if tried to upload from the download folder, it works like magic. i have tried several things, like uninstalling all the extensions, resetting the browser and so on, still unable to solve the problem. Safari does not download files to external hard disks or NAS Since the update to Sequoia 15.0, Safari on my M2 8GB MacMini can no longer save files to the NAS or external hard disks. The files are automatically saved as a "filename.fileextension.download" file. And the file in the safari downloads tab mentions "cannot move file" underneath it. Other browsers do not have this problem.

Do they have a chat function? I tried to type the issue into their search bar saying "Cannot attach files in chrome" and nothing that is applicable comes up.
