Black Screen On Monterey

I'm sorry I delayed starting this thread. Last Sunday my screen turned black with a message of some problem where the OS had to shut down. I guess this is Apple's equivalent to the Windows Blue Screen. My newly updated OS is 12.6.2. I took off the app Publisher Lite, believing that it was the only one possible that could have caused it. After that, to investigate why such documents as greeting cards get printed greyscale, I opened the app HP Smart Print. After I performed the operation to clean printheads, the screen went black without any messages. Again, I had to power up the computer. My Launchpad only has enough apps to occupy one page. To prevent this from recurring, how can I diagnose what is caused this shutdown? Currently I limited my Office functions to Google Drive, having eliminated such programs intended to replace the paid Office programs. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I had LibreOffice, now gone. Thank you. This is the most serious problem that ever occurred on this Mac since I acquired it.

Thanks; and forgive me for neglecting this post. This problem has not recurred. With so little on the computer and a simple network setup, I don't see what the problem could have been. Those open source Office programs are off, which I will confine to Windows. Soon I will obtain another computer where I will do those tasks and confine this Mac to enjoyable things like streaming.

I am not sure I described this problem thoroughly because it did not match any of the illustrated one. Though it has not recurred, I don't want anything on this Mac notebook to cause it again. That black screen showed a warning message that it had to shut down because of some conflict inside. Something like when Windows shows a blue screen to protect the OS, so it shuts down. It showed no symbols, just white writing against a black background.
