iCloud asking for 6-digit passcode but the one I created is 8-digits

Just upgraded to the 14 Pro from the XS. I received a popup stating that in order to continue using iCloud that I needed to log in. Once I login with my Apple ID, it then asks for the phones passcode and then the passcode for the old phone. However, it only allows for 6 digits; the old phone had an 8 digit passcode.

Hello KHG850,

Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities.

In some situations, you will need a previous Trusted Device passcode to move your iCloud data to a new device.

If you do not have the previous device passcode to use, you may see an option to select “Forgot” and possibly approve the new device using a different method.

You may also have the option to reset your data. Please note that this may result in your encrypted iCloud data being erased. The following Apple Support article contains more information on this topic: iCloud data security overview

Please contact Apple Support for help if you have any questions before resetting your iCloud data.

Cheers!
