How to turn off Siri saying ‘if your safety is at risk…’

Hey folks

Recently, when I’ve asked Siri to read my text messages, it will read one and then say ‘ if your safety is at risk, please ask me to call emergency services’ etc. and then not read the rest of my messages. Every single time. And then I have to ask again for my messages to be read out. Next one, same announcement after it.

can anyone advise me how to stop this from happening? It is so annoying…

Hi HungryElectra,

Does this happen when you're on Wi-Fi and cellular? This can help isolate things down a bit better. Have you tried disabling and enabling the feature again? This can sometimes clear up minor software issues. Also, you'll want to make sure that you're running the latest iOS version whenever possible. You can learn how here:

"Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install."

You can take a look at the full resource here: Update your iPhone or iPad

We hope this helps.

Take care.
