Hello MrMaestroIE,

Let's start with ensuring that there's a passcode set up for Screen Time, along with some other settings to confirm this isn't a configuration issue.

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch covers how to configure Screen Time for your child's device. Blocking at the end of a limit you've set does require a passcode being set for Screen Time. Let's review the details below:

  1. "Make sure to choose a passcode that's different from the passcode that you use to unlock your device. To change or turn off the passcode on your child's device, tap Settings > Screen Time > [your child's name]. Then tap Change Screen Time Passcode or Turn Off Screen Time Passcode, and authenticate the change with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode."
  2. If WhatsApp is part of Downtime you have setup, make sure "Block at Downtime" is enabled under Settings > Screen Time >  [your child's name] > Downtime.
  3. If you have an App Limit set for WhatsApp, go to Settings > Screen Time > App Limits > [Limit Name] and ensure “Block at End of Limit” is enabled there. (Each individual App Limit has its own block setting).

If you're still experiencing the same issue after confirming the settings above are set correctly, contact Apple Support.

Regards.
