Apple Watch Activation lock

I’m not able to connect Apple Watch to a new phone because of Activation Lock. I got the Apple Watch as a gift and it along with the AppleID were set up for me. I no longer have contact with the person that got this for me as a gift so I can’t reset AppleID. Any help would be appreciated.

You’ll need proof of original purchase new. Otherwise you need to get in contact with the gifter for further help.
