Airpods Pro 2 Charging Case battery percentage lag time

Anyone else have this issue, e.g.

My airpods pro 2 battery is at 80%, charging case is at 100%.

I put back the airpods back to the charging case, after 20mins, the airpods is charge to 100%, but the case also shows 100%

After 10 hours, then the charging case battery drop to around 85%

It seems like the charging case doesn't immediately shows the battery percentage.

This is a problem for me, because sometimes before I sleep, I see the charging case have 40% battery and airpods 100%, thinking that I will have enough power for the next day.

I wake up the next morning, only to find out that the charging case battery have drop to 10%.

Hi selzkeo,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It may be best in this case to reset your AirPods. That can help with many issues including charging and battery percentage. Guidance below is from How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro.

1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.

Wait 30 seconds.

2. Open the lid of your charging case, and put your AirPods in your ears.

3. Go to Settings > Bluetooth. Or go to Settings > [your AirPods].

• If your AirPods appear there as connected, tap the More Info button next to your AirPods, tap • • Forget This Device, then tap again to confirm.

• If your AirPods don't appear there, continue to the next step.

5. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and keep the lid open.

6. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.

7. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone or iPad. Follow the steps on your device's screen.
