Loose usb c ports

Hello Everyone, Im having an issue with my usb c ports for the second time now on my Macbook pro. last time I had coverage so they replaced the motherboard, but now that my coverage expired and I wasnt given an opportunity to get Applecare + ( I rented my macbook from my school to buy) and it is happening again I have no idea what to do. I cant really afford for my harddrives to unplug while working. any advice would be great thanks!
