Didn't receive an invitation from Homekit

Hello, my wife install an apple home kit with apple tv. Everything is ok, but i didn’t receive an invitation. She invited me and in her app shows that it has a pending invitation and it is waiting to accept but on my phone and app doesn’t show. She invited other people and with them there is no problem - only with my account. We read all of your support on you website, we followed all the instructions a lot if times but still don’t receive an invite. Her icloud account is ****. Please check and contact me as soon as is possible, because all in our home is smart and I don’t have access.

Thanks a lot

Hi zdravkov777,

Installing the latest software can help with the issue you've described, so make sure all of your devices are up to date, including Apple TVs and HomePods. This resource lists the latest software versions for the iPhone, Mac, and Apple TV and includes links that will help with updating if needed: Apple security updates. Be sure to create a backup before installing updates.

This article has the steps to take for updating HomePod: Update HomePod.

1. Make sure that your device is updated to the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS
2. Open the Home app.
3. Tap or click the More button , then Home Settings  > Software Update.
4. If there's a new update, select Update. If there isn't a new update, you can select HomePod to turn on automatic updates and get the latest software automatically when it's available. Software Update also tells you if your HomePod is already up to date, and shows you the installed HomePod software.

A white spinning light appears on the top of HomePod while it's updating. The update might take some time. Make sure that your HomePod stays plugged in while it's updating.

If the issue persists, reach out to Apple Support directly so they can look into this with you further. They can be contacted here: Get Support, or by calling the most applicable phone number from this list: Contact Apple for support and service.

Cheers.

I have the same problem and wanted to provide my Apple Support results:

I've been on the phone with Apple 4 times, spending about 8 hours on support trying one experiment after another with no solution. It has been elevated to engineering several times with full log files but all they want to do is more experimental steps to see if one of them works. Nothing works. Apple should quit releasing products not ready for use and inadequately tested. It’s as if they have no idea how their own software works. We pay high prices for these products and services. We should not be their testers too!!!

On 1/10/23 I got an email from Apple stating the following:

"I just wanted to let you know that I did get a response from the engineer team and they said that they are aware of this issue and they are currently working on it as it is under investigation. Basically, all you and your wife need to do at this point is keep your devices up to date.  The resolution will be in the form of an update.

If you have any questions you can reply to this email.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!"
