VLC app

I cannot access the home screen. When I open it is in the video or audio or playlists function and there is no option to get to the home screen where the functions to allow adding files is located. (My ultimate objective).

iPad Apple TV sidebar missing "Home Videos" and "Downloads" My Apple TV sidebar "Home Videos" and "Downloads" have disappeared from my iPad Pro 12.9" 5th gen ver 16.5. I tried adding a video from my iMac which failed, backed up the iPad, and now neither of the two sidebar option appear. There are the other sidebar options TV, Store, and Library appear as normal. However Library sub-options have "Recent Purchases", "Movies", "TV Shows" and "Genres", but here is no "Home Video" nor "Downloaded" tabs in that Apple TV app. Additionally, iTunes will still not allow a download to the connected iPad via the usual drag and drop. There appears a dearth of information on this topic. What gives and how can this situation be rectified? Annoying.

Playlist views always open as "Playlist" Hi, I prefer to view my video playlists in list view. When I have a playlist open I change the view from the default "As Playlist" to "As List", but if I change to a different playlist or exit the program when I go back into the playlist it's back to viewing "As Playlist" again. I'm using MacOS Sonoma TV 1.4.0.118 on a 2023 Apple M2 Pro Mac mini
