My new purchase says Logic Pro the X is missing?

I just purchased Logic Pro, but it does not say Logic Pro X, did I download the wrong version?

Mac mini, OS X 10.11

Logic Pro 10.8 Downloaded version 10.8 from the App Store but when I installed it, it was actually 10.7.9 and not 10.8. Anyone else have that problem?

Finding Logic 10.8 in the App Store I was using the latest version of Ventura, went to the App Store and tried to download Logic 10.8, was told I had to update to Sonoma so I did. Now no updates are available for Logic so I did a search, found a copy on the web and installed it. The new version told me it was 10.8.1 but it had none of the new features I was looking for. Next day when I loaded Logic it reverted back to 10.7.9, I went to the App Store to get the update, not available. What gives??? First time that's ever happened, I've had Logic for awhile, always able to download updates, is there a reason 10.8.1 is not available?, Is there something wrong with it? Why is the update not available? This makes no sense at all, very frustrating, would think that Apple could do better than that.
