Finding Logic 10.8 in the App Store

I was using the latest version of Ventura, went to the App Store and tried to download Logic 10.8, was told I had to update to Sonoma so I did. Now no updates are available for Logic so I did a search, found a copy on the web and installed it. The new version told me it was 10.8.1 but it had none of the new features I was looking for. Next day when I loaded Logic it reverted back to 10.7.9, I went to the App Store to get the update, not available. What gives??? First time that's ever happened, I've had Logic for awhile, always able to download updates, is there a reason 10.8.1 is not available?, Is there something wrong with it? Why is the update not available? This makes no sense at all, very frustrating, would think that Apple could do better than that.

I went to the Apps application and downloaded Logic which did not have any version number assigned to it, it updated the 10.7.9 version to 10.8.1. I always have Time Machine running, connected to a 4 TB auxiliary drive that I purchased from the Apple Store. Yes, I backed up Logic 10.7.9 before upgrading to Sonoma. I am now running 10.8.1 version, seems to be working ok, haven't tried out the new features as yet. When I tried to open the "What's new in Logic 10.8.1, it crashed and is no longer available, this download no longer exists on this computer, it no longer exists on the App Store either. I will have to rely on YouTube videos to find out what's new in Logic 10.8.1. I also have a Novation miniNova synth that a purchased several years ago. It has a program called minNova Editor that lets me adjust the oscillators, using various wave tables, and a filter section. All of this worked until I purchased the M1 Mac. It took Novation a long time to upgrade the program for M1 Macs. I now have the new version which does the adjustments but will not save any of my work so when I shut down everything I changed does not get saved, work for nothing. I contacted Novation support about this, they said they have an M1 Mac, the program works fine on their M1 Mac, it only partially works on mine. I can make changes to the synth's presets but I can't save them, Also, there is an associated program which stores presets, I can load it form the miniNova Editor, double clicking a preset loads it into the miniNova so there is a connection there. However, the program has a grab feature which copies the active preset into a Grab folder, this feature does nothing, I cannot save any of my changes, all is lost when I change the preset or close the program. What is going on here??? Why does it work fine on the M1 Mac at Navation but not on my M1 Mac, using Logic on the current OSX??? Enough here to make me want to go back to a PC running Ableton Live, which is what I had before buying this M1 Mac. I still have the PC laptop but it is only a dual core, now they have multi cores at a much lower price than an M1 Mac. I may be looking to purchase a newer PC laptop in the near future, getting fed up with all these problems, problems, PROBLEMS that are just ongoing. I composed some of my best music on a 32 bit MacBook running Garage Band, never had all these problems including this ongoing hold note problem that plagues Logic which does not always respond to the MIDI note release command, making it useless for any live performance. Why has Apple never been able to FIX THIS PROBLEM???
