Hey vlcu,

We'd recommend reviewing the information in this article as it provides steps that can help resolve issues sending Mail on iPad: If you can’t send email on your iPhone or iPad

"Remove your email account and set it up again

  1. On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website. Make sure that all of your email is there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than on your iOS or iPadOS device.
  2. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
  3. Tap the email account that you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Add your account again.

If the steps in this article don't help, contact your email service provider for more information."

We'd also recommend checking to see if you have that email address associated with a Contact in the Contacts app on your iPad. If so, you may want to check to ensure the email address is entered in correctly there. You can find information on managing your Contacts here: Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone or iPad

Thanks!
