Airplay Overriding Desired Playback Due to Autoplay

When using airplay to stream music or video through my television, if I am scrolling through Twitter, Safari, or other applications with embedded videos, these videos can randomly take over the desired Airplay stream and start playing when I don’t want them to. Video search results and ads for example can cause this to happen. So if I am streaming a show or something to airplay on my tv and also looking at my phone, the steam almost always gets interrupted by some random video or audio content in whatever I am looking at and it plays over the television. Is there a way to prevent airplay from broadcasting whatever current video content is loaded to prevent these random interruptions, and instead stay fixed on only the desired audio/video source application? Something more similar to how casting functions with chromecast would be more optimal in my eyes.

Thanks for reaching out prunceyslsdk,

It sounds like you have some suggestions for AirPlay. We can help.

Keep in mind that how you've described AirPlay is how the feature is intended to work today. You can learn more about the usage and expectations of behavior here: Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror the screen of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

That said, you can share your thoughts with Apple and submit Product Feedback.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
