period at end of sentence

Lately, I’ve not gotten periods at the end of sentences after double space. Was it an issue with last update? I checked everything in keyboard settings and everything is correct. Help please It’s annoying!

Go to Settings > General > Keyboards, and turn off "." Shortcut.

Keyboard issue - adds two spaces after every word I type I've done all the things that I've seen in this discussion community - I have hit or clicked on everything that I see. When I used to type a message hitting the space bar twice used to insert a period, now it doesn't do that. No, it's not my phone's settings either. keyboard too sensitive for the past year the sensitivity of the keyboards has changed. i am constantly getting unwanted periods followed by a space and new capitalized word another few words and an unwanted period, repeating often for several sentences. so i then. have to waste a lot of time correcting the errors before sending. why did the happen. to me, my sister, an many others?
