AirPods Pro 2nd generation Left & Right battery gap

It's been less than a week since I bought AirPods pro 2nd generation, and there's always a 3 to 5% battery gap between left and right AirPods. It's always the left AirPod that has a lower battery percentage.

I tried resetting the connection to my AirPods, but it doesn't seem to solve the issue. It's been less than a week so it being a hardware issue would be ridiculous at this price.

And from my use at 45% volume and without spatial audio, it doesn't seem like the new 2nd gen AirPods would give 6 hours of usage as advertised.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Hello Anotherwolf02,

We understand that the battery percentage on your left and right AirPods slightly differ. To clarify, do you have the Microphone set to Always Left or Always Right? If so, this could cause the battery usage to be higher for that AirPod. If you're using an iOS device, this can be found in Settings > Bluetooth. Alternatively, you can go to Settings > AirPods. Select the more Info button  next to your AirPods.

Here's what you can expect with the battery life on your AirPods Pro (2nd generation):

"• With multiple charges in your case, you get up to 30 hours of listening time,1 or up to 24 hours of talk time.

• Your AirPods Pro (2nd generation) can get up to 6 hours of listening time (up to 5.5 hours with Spatial Audio and Head Tracking enabled)3 or up to 4.5 hours of talk time on a single charge.

• If you charge your AirPods Pro (2nd generation) for 5 minutes in their case, you get around 1 hour of listening time or around 1 hour of talk time."

Hi anotherwolf02,

That sounds like a good plan.

Verify that both have the same charge to start with. If not, check the inside of the case to verify that there isn't any debris blocking the bottom. Also, verify that they are both sitting inside their case correctly.
