Strange bug using the logitech combo touch trackpad

Hello everyone

I have an 7th gen iPad and a Logitech Combo Touch that before i updated my OS to iOS 16 worked just fine.

Since i updated the OS, to iOS 16, something strange happened. While the navigation with the trackpad works fine in all the apps, even apple’s ones, scrolling and gestures works as intended to be, in the main page is all inverted. And i don’t know why. Basically, to navigate to the next page i have to scroll up or down, and not left or right as it should be, even the gestures are messed up. And this issues is present only in “desktop”, in fact in all the apps scrolling works as intended to be. I tried some troubleshooting but it seems that it randomly fixes and when the battery is not full.

Has everyone of you encountered this problems?

Thanks for the replies

I bought a combo touch for 12.9 M1 today and immediately noticed the issue today. Spent hours searching through dozens of posts about this. I tried updating the firmware several times, removing the keyboard, cleaning the ports, restarting, to no avail. Then, someone said they disabled the Assistive Touch so I did. And voila!!! The issue is gone.

Hi vickopall,

Have you tried restarting since noticing this issue? Restarting is a great step to take and can often resolve issues: Restart your iPad

The latest iPadOS version available is 16.2 at this time. Is your iPad using the latest software? Let's ensure that by following these instructions, since updates can often fix issues like the one you're describing: Update your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!
