External display issue with MacBook Air M2

Hello..

I've two external display. A Samsung T24D390 and a HP M27F..

I've tested them separately.

The HP shows big pixels permanently (I can notice them in the icons and in the images). Sometimes the background of Safari (in gray) is pixeled too.

The Samsung TV shows big pixels too but only sometimes.

I've tried with different HDMI cable, different adaptor and different usb-c ports. I've also tried with different resolution, and refresh rate from the system preferences.

Where is the problem? How can I solve it ?

MacBook Air, macOS 13.1

Hey there Luca,

We'd like to gather more details to better understand what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:

  1. You mentioned there are 'big pixels' that show one one external display, but a second display only shows them sometimes. What exactly did you mean by 'big pixels'?
  2. If these two displays worked in the past without any issues with the same Mac, when did the issue first start?
  3. What happens when you test another computer with those same external displays?
  4. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section 'Restart' here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac

Cheers!
