Updating Cloud Music Library Stuck

My Music app has been stuck updating the cloud music library for days on my iMac which is running Ventura 13.0.1. The solutions proffered in prior iterations of this problem mentioned going into the settings of Music and adjusting the Sync options but those options are not available on the Ventura version of Music. Restarting has not helped.

Exact same on my mac running latest version monterrey. Annoying because I can use all my music and listen but just this message on the top that never goes away. It’s not that any changes have been made because I haven’t used my apple / iTunes matched music for many many months. Every single song is download. Yet this message persists. I’ve left over an hour now. No such issues using iTunes over on windows 10, the cloud music library loads right away and no annoying loading messages.


might be a false negative though, I had a couple music videos that I hadn’t downloaded locally to the Mac. Even though the cloud music library says it’s loading I was still able to click and download these.


but all this serves to remind me why I rarely use apple for music. Bit on the unreliable side
