AppleTV volume low compared to Regular TV or Xbox?

When I watch tv (without AppleTV) or play Xbox I can set my tv volume to 15 and it's solid. However, when I turn on the AppleTV to watch shows or a movie I have to turn the volume up to 50 to get the same volume. Why? How can I fix this?

Hello LarsUSD,

Were you able to follow the steps you came from to set up your remote? If not, we'd recommend doing so now: If the volume buttons on your Apple TV remote stop working

If the volume buttons on your Apple TV remote stop working

Follow these steps to restart your remote.

Restart your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote

Siri Remote (1st generation) or Apple TV Remote (1st generation) and Siri Remote (2nd generation) or Apple TV Remote (2nd generation).

1. Press and hold the TV/Control Center button  and the Volume Down button  at the same time. Hold the buttons down for about 5 seconds, or until the status light on your Apple TV turns off and on again.

2. Release the buttons. Then wait 5 to 10 seconds for a Connection Lost notification to appear on your TV screen.

3. Wait while your remote restarts. When the Connected notification appears, you can use your remote.

If you still need help, contact Apple Support.

A good step may be to test another TV in your home to see if you're able to reproduce the issue with another TV in general. That would isolate the behavior further for us.

Hoping to hear back, take care.
