Hey there petegreen1313,
The phone is added to Find My when signing in with the owner's Apple ID and enabling Find My iPhone. If your wife has their own Apple ID, then that's the account to sign in with. You wouldn't be able to sign in with more than one account, however, you can still share locations with each other.
To share your location or for your wife to share their location, use the steps below:
Share with people
1. Open the Find My app and select the People tab.
2. Tap the Add button.
3. Select Share My Location.
4. Enter the name or phone number of the person that you want to share your location with.
5. Select Send.
6. Choose to share your location for One Hour, Until End of Day, or Share Indefinitely.
When you share your location with someone, they have the option to share their location back.
