is Home app no longer supported in OS 12.6.2? I get this message

Did the update make Home app unusable?

It would appear that you've allowed your Apple Home to Upgrade to the new Home architecture - Apple Support, but have a Mac running an older version of macOS that isn't supported for the new system. The new system only works with macOS 13.1 Ventura or above. iPads can no longer be used as a home hubs.

Rats, that’s what I thought. I think I can still operate other stuff through my phone. The home pod mini has been a frustrating experience from the day i got about a year or so ago. So it might be all for the best. I’m inclined to think other speakers might be a better option. Thank goodness I bought the thing with a gift certificate. LOL
