where are Emoji and Symbols preferences stored

Hello,

I want to copy my Emoji preferences (favorited symbols and maybe the last used if possible) to my new Mac.

Can someone advise where are these stored?

If you're looking to move your data from an old Mac to a new one, these steps will help make that happen: Move content to a new Mac - Apple Support

If you're not wanting to move all data over, do you use Messages in iCloud? If so, that may help to pull your emoji preferences over as well as sync your messages between devices. Here's more information: Access your messages on all your Apple devices - Apple Support

I actually found the answer to my question. The favorites are stored in:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.CharacterPicker.plist

Just copy the file to your new machine and restart.
