Can't set alarm sound default

Still unable to set default alarm sound on iPhone SE 16.1.2. I've tried everything stated in previous forums. I changed it to silent a few months ago and ever since, not matter what, it creates an alarm with silent setting. The only way I can get an alarm with a sound is to set the sound with each new alarm, or if Siri sets it, I have to go back and redo the sound.

Wondering if your issue may be solved by updating to iOS 16.2

You may want to send feedback to Apple:
