apple music hanging on launch mac mini ventura 13.1

After purchasing some music on the itunes store, the music app opens but then hangs. How can I fix this? I've tried force quitting the app and relaunching it, rebooting the computer and relaunching the app, updating to the latest version of ventura and I still cannot use the music app. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you're unable to launch Apple Music with the latest macOS version installed on your Mac mini, right?


If we have that correct, let's give the steps below a try to see if you're able to clear up what may be occurring. Other solutions

• Press and hold the Shift key while opening the app. This doesn't change any settings, but the app forgets any windows that were open the last time you quit the app.

• Make sure that the app isn't a login item. Login items open every time you log in or start up your Mac. You can add or remove login items.


If you're still unable to open the Music app while holding the Shift key, let us know if this continues to happen in another user account on your Mac. If you don't have another user account set up, you can create a test user account to isolate this. We'll be able to gain a better understanding of what could be occurring if you're able to test this out. Thanks for the suggestions, but holding down the shift ket while opening the app doesn't help. I still have to use Force Quit because the app is unresponsive.


There are other user accounts on my mac so I tried my husband's account and the Music app worked correctly. Then I created a second account for me and I was at least able to download the song I bought and copy the file to edit it. This was helpful as a work around for the moment but I still can't use the Music app in my main profile.


I'm not sure if I have any other information that would be helpful.
