MAC Mini ports?

The question was asked earlier but I now hav a monitor that will show more lines. So, which port is the best to use to hook up to the new monitor which has 2 HDMI slots and one DP-in slot. Is this like the old days where I would need a graphics card to get the higher resolutions?

So HDMI to HDMI? or Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI?, thunderbolt to DP-in? or any other ideas to get the max transfer?
