Personal Photo Albums Disappeared After Update

I recently updated my phone to iOS 16.1.2, the update went fine and everything put afterwards all of my photo albums disappeared. When I opened my photos app after the update, first it said it was restoring my photos (it took a couple hours to do so as I have a lot of photos). But even all the photos finished being restored, none of my albums were there. I have never enabled iCloud Photos, has a similar issue ever happened to others? Is there any way to get my albums back or are they gone forever?

My iPhone 13 Pro (without iCloud backup) is running 16.1.1, and my Mac 13.1. Both are pretty new on my devices, so I cannot tell which (or both) are at fault.

Recently, all photo albums on my iPhone disappeared, except for a very few that exist on my iPhone, but are empty. All the photos in all the photo albums on my Mac that I selected for download to the iPhone are in the iPhone library, but the albums on the iPhone have disappeared.
