iCloud email alias (cannot save alias VS not available)


When creating an email alias in iCloud, if the system returns the above message, does that mean the selected email address is not available or that one needs to try again later?

Based on the error message you are receiving, this appears to be an issue with connecting to iCloud Mail and not an issue with the email alias not being available to use. If this continues to occur, try connecting to another network to isolate the cause of this behavior. Ensure your following the steps here to create an email alias as well: Add and manage email aliases for iCloud Mail on iCloud.com


If this continues to occur over multiple networks, let us know if other features of iCloud Mail are working as expected so that we can narrow down what's happening.
