Disable screen locking on home network???

Is there any way to disable screen locking on my iPhone whenever it is connected to my home Wifi? I completely trust everyone in my home, so there's no reason for the screen to lock at all.

The only solution I know of is to disable the screen locking when I come home and enable it again before I leave home with my phone. That's a terrible solution though for a couple reasons: inconvenience and the risk I forget to enable it.

On a related note, it is super disappointing that Apple has not responded to "Using face id requires passcode immediately, or does it?" The answer is yes, it does. That was posted in 2017. I just checked the Calendar app and the year is 2022. Using the Calculator app, I see that 5 years have passed since the question was first posed. Over 270 people have chimed in on that complaint, yet no respectful response has been posted. Apple... c'mon!

Thank you for the rapid reply. Seriously. You answered my question directly and I appreciate that. Maybe a little less snarkiness would be expected from an official Apple resource. Personally, I'm fine with a response that has color and teeth, but hey, I'm just one customer. 1.5 BILLION people may feel differently. ;)

Well, on Face ID perhaps 270 people have responded, but 1.5 BILLION people have not, so they are either happy with the way it works or are indifferent. So Apple HAS responded, and the response is they are not going to change it. Just because you want something doesn’t mean that Apple should agree or do it. And how many of those 270 actually let Apple know that they want this? HINT: Posting in this user-to-user forum does NOT let Apple know, because Apple does not read these forums for suggestions. Here is how to let Apple know→Product Feedback - Apple

As to the screen locking, you could create a Shortcut that would do what you want→Shortcuts User Guide - Apple Support

This is a user-to-user forum. Lawrence doesn't work for Apple. He doesn't represent Apple. As long as he remains within the terms of use of the forums, he can post as he likes. His barely discernable level of snark is apparently acceptable to the Hosts.

No one here is an official Apple resource. We are all users......just like you. None of us work for Apple.

You take your chances when you ask other users about an issue. Sometimes, you won't like the answer, even if it is correct.

Some answers will hold your hand, and some will not. There are forum moderators whose job it is to keep users from yelling at each other, but other than that they are invisible. Apple will never respond to a message here.
