iPadOS 16.1 - Lock Screen widgets

Hello

I have an iPad Pro A1980 running iPadOS 16.1 (20B82).

After the recent update I was hoping Lock Screen widgets would be available as the feature is with my iPhone, it appears Apple have opted not to enable the functionality.

I’ve checked under Face ID & Passcode > Allow access when locked, but the option isn’t there.

Unless I’m missing something obvious the feature doesn’t appear to be available. Can anyone confirm this is the case, and share any verified information on why the feature isn’t available and whether it’s expected on a future software release.

Why the feature would be available on the iPhone yet not the iPad is beyond me, I don’t quite see the logic
