We have an iMac 2013, but when I plug in my Iphone12 to grab photo's, charge phone, or utilize any other services they do not recognize. It just continues to flash 'Trust Device' every 2 seconds, but quickly disappear. How do I resolve this?

I would try restarting both and the reconnect the iPhone to the Mac.
If you have third party AV, Cleaning or Optimizing junk-ware installed on the iMac, then you need to disable or uninstall those. Another option is to startup the Mac in Safe Mode which will prevent the third junk-ware from loading.
