Windows 10 PC doesn't recognize iPhone 12

My HP Pavilion Desktop running Windows 10 does not recognize my iPhone 12. Am trying to download my pictures from my iPhone 12 as well as use Apple Devices to backup the iPhone to my PC.

My computer does recognize all my other Apple devices using the same USB-A port and the same USB-A_lightning cable (except iPhone16 in which I used a USB-A_USB-C cable). This includes the following devices : iPhone 16 (iOS 18.1.1), iPad Air 2 (iOS 15.8.3), and an iPad Mini 2 (iOS 12.5.7).

I've uninstalled Norton. All Apple devices show up in the PC's "Device Manager" (as a Portable device) when the pop-up "Trust this computer" appears on the said Apple devices (clicked on Trust). But, PC's Windows File Explorer shows all devices except the iPhone 12 as being connected. Therefore, Apple Devices works with all other Apple devices except the iPhone 12.

I've called Apple Tech support. Any suggestions would be a big help!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried all the suggestions as per the first link. What's confounding me is that all my other Apple devices work - except for my iPhone 12.

Should mention iTunes doesn't recognize any of devices. I've read that the AMDS (Apple Mobile Device Service) is supposed to be enabled. Haven't been successful at that. At this point, I'll be happy just to have the computer recognize the iPhone 12 as I'd like to backup my pictures to my PC.

Thanks.
