Apple Music “too many devices”

i recently upgraded from the 13pro to the 14pro. When trying to download songs to play offline I keep getting the message “Too many devices. To play offline content, you’ll need to remove some devices.” I only ever had 6 devices to begin with. I have removed every device besides the iPhone I’m trying to download music onto. Still getting the same message. I have signed out of Apple Music and sign back in. I have closed the app and restarted my phone. I have removed the app from my phone and redownloaded it. I’ve tried every fix I was able to find on here. I’m at the point where I have no option but to switch to another streaming service if I cannot fix this issue. Can anyone please provide any insight?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

Hi atha_vision,

The page View and remove your devices that are associated with Apple ID purchases outlines steps to change or remove associated devices with your Apple ID. Follow that guidance to remove at least 1 device and retest to see if this behavior continues.

If so, use Get Support to contact Apple directly for further investigation.

Regards.
