Apple TV 4K (2022) Remote keeps disconnecting

Is anyone else having the same problem? My new Apple TV worked fine for a week or so but then the remote started disconnecting and reconnecting. Couldn’t get through an evenings tv without it happening, and kept having to use the app on my phone. Went through all the procedures as advised by Apple ie pairing and unpairing, resetting etc but to no avail. Have now returned it for a new one, but feel i really shouldn’t have to go through this after forking out big bucks.
