How do I delete individual “shared with you” articles on safari?

Permanently remove individual Shared With You items from Safari I've seen many articles on how to disable/hide the Shared With You section in different apps. Ideally, I want to keep Shared With You but remove items as I read or no longer need them (or worse, do not want family members to see which gift ideas have been discussed for them)! In Safari, I can right-click on an item and click "Remove link." This will remove the link for a while, then it will appear again later. (I assume this is because the Shared list is recreated from other apps and devices periodically, so the items reappear if they're not removed from all devices/apps?) Is there a way to keep the Shared With You section but permanently delete some individual items?

Safari Shared for you links won't remove So I have an issue where I can't remove the shared links under safari when I hold down on the link and click remove, it doesn't delete it. I know I can disable shared links completely for safari, but I still want that feature, but just want to get rid of those that I don't need.

Why can't I delete Safari suggestions on my iPad? I have a number of shared links and website visited under “Suggestions” in Safari on my iPad. I managed to delete a few and then it stopped removing other links. I press and hold the link to get the drop down menu and then touch “remove link” but nothing happens. Help!
