Upgrade your Notes? iCloud upgrade? For the first time I am trying to share (receive) a Note from another person. (FWIW, I'm using an iPhone SE 2nd Gen, iOS 16.1.1) Up to this time I have used Notes on my iPhone (just on my iPhone) without any problems. Now, for sharing, I enabled Notes in Settings > iCloud > Show All > Notes. All seemed fine. But when I try to open the Note that my trainer texted to me I get the following message: Upgrade Your Notes To open shared notes, you'll need to upgrade your iCloud account. Does this mean I have to upgrade to a PAID iCloud plan (iCloud+) just to share Notes?

Judging from the article Share notes and collaborate on iPhone - Apple Support it looks like they would need to be iCloud users, though they might not necessarily have to use an Apple primary device.
