Why am I missing three screens after upgrading my iPhone 8 to iOS Version 16.1.1?
Swiping LEFT from HOME SCREEN goes to APP LIBRARY — missing three screens.
This happened last night. Restart did not fix it. I fiddled around. About half hour later missing three screens appeared.
Happened again this morning.

PROBLEM RELATED to Do Not Disturb — further testing requires erasing and restoring iPhone.
Screens disappeared after I turned ON Do Not Disturb at 7:40 am on Dec 28.
Reappeared after I turned OFF Do Not Disturb at 7:43 am.
Did not disappear when I turned ON Do Not Disturb at 8:02 am.
Do Not Disturb schedule 10 pm to 8:00 am.

Turning Do Not Disturb OFF solves missing screens problem.

If you’re still on 16.1.1, update to 16.2, and test again.
PROBLEM RELATED TO DO NOT DISTURB? Turned this OFF and no missing screens for a couple of days. Will leave it OFF a few more days to confirm.

If you have enough storage, ensure you're arranging your folders and Home Screen with the steps here: Organize your apps in folders on iPhone - Apple Support
"Create folders
To delete a folder, tap the folder to open it, then drag all the apps out of it. The folder is automatically deleted.
Note: Organizing your apps on the Home Screen doesn’t affect the organization of apps in the App Library."

I have a search box in that part of the display (iPhone 11 Pro Max), which doubles as the page indicator. Why you don’t?
With what you have tried, tried a backup, factory reset, and reload? If that doesn’t resolve this, you’re likely headed for a discussion with Apple Support.
PROBLEM IS BACK. It happened again on Wednesday, Thursday, and today. Seems to happen after the "Do not disturb" / Sleep period I have set for myself.
On Wednesday and Thursday the missing screens reappeared after I Restarted. Today they did not appear after Restart.
They did appear after I tried this Tip "swipe from the right side of the sensor notch" although I'm not sure I did this correctly.

Between what I did and the latest iOS the PROBLEM IS FIXED.

I'm on 16.2
iPhone worked great for 3 days, then this morning the problem appeared again. Restart didn't fix it. Then about an hour later the missing screens reappeared. I am on iOS 16.2.
