Add NAS drive folder to Apple Music on iPad 6th Gen Wi-Fi.

I have a large collection of music stored on a NAS drive and I am trying to get Apple Music on my 6th Gen iPad Wi-Fi to use this as my music library.

I have successfully connected my iPad to my Netgear ReadyNAS, and can see all the folders on my iPad.

All I need now is a way that I can get the NAS drive folder with all my music (which is normally accessed via iTunes or Music), to be accessible from Apple Music on my iPad, so I can play music from it over my DENON receiver.

Thank you.

Hello mammothATInsanelyMac,

While you're able to connect an external drive to your iPad to work with files, see photos, and more, you're not able to link it to Apple Music in that way. The following shows the various ways you're able to listen to music on your iPad: Get music on iPad - Apple Support

If you have a computer, you could set up Home Sharing: Use Home Sharing to share media from a computer to other devices - Apple Support

Take care!
