I understand, but please be advised there have been countless reports of incompatibility with various non-Apple NAS devices generally, and the Western Digital "MyCloud" product in particular.
Please refer to Types of disks you can use with Time Machine on Mac - Apple Support.
Please read Time Machine troubleshooting on Mac - Apple Support.
It would help if you were to explain the configuration you had been expecting.
I no longer see the previous backups. In System Settings/General/Timemachine the expected options do not appear. So I can't change the backup modes.I am using imac Ventura 13.0.1 e WD My cloud. Thank you
That's not the way to restore files from Time Machine. To do that requires using the Time Machine interface, described here: Restore items backed up with Time Machine on Mac - Apple Support.
A Western Digital "MyCloud" device, if that is what you are using, has never worked reliably with Time Machine.
But until now it had made backups regularly. In any case, now I can no longer set up Time Machine. How to do? Thank you
I didn't solve my problem but thanks for the prompt replies. Maybe you have suggestions for how to open files from old backups (sparsebundles)? Thankyou
